Programming Homelink on Allstar Garage Opener without the remote?

My bud has an 05 Jeep with Homelink. He has an Allister Model ARD garage door opener with a New England Door Corp Model DR box attached to it with an antenna hanging out of it. He does not have the wireless transmitter to the door (used to) but we're trying to figure out how to program his homelink in his Jeep to open the door. Any ideas?

Sorry, but you are out of luck. You must have a transmitter to program the Homelink. Your radio sounds like a Linear product. DR is how they designated their radio receiver. Your transmitter was called a DT. If you can find a neighbor with the same radio you might borrow the transmitter and code it to your radio,( switches are inside next to the battery) and then switch it back to the original settings. If it is a DR it will have 8 rocker switches on the circuit board. You might have to remove the radio to see the back of it where the switches sit. Mark the original code down so you can set it back easily. If you buy one you can always buy a Clicker brand which is a universal transmitter. Make sure of compatibility before you get it as they might not accept returns. The Linears are still made if you want one too. Consider also that the receiver might be bad if you cannot get it to work after you buy the transmitter,.
